Dr. Davidson is the world's premier affective neuroscientist, having studied the neural bases of positive emotion for decades. He is the pioneer of the field of contemplative neuroscience, working out of his new Center for Investigating Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A close friend and collaborator with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Dr. Davidson's research into brain plasticity and the effects of mindfulness meditation on human behavior and emotion is revolutionary. This is FAN's last program of its 30th anniversary season, and it is not to be missed -- a major figure on a cutting edge topic.
Co-sponsored by The Family Institute at Northwestern University's Mindfulness and Behavior Therapies Program (MBTP), Northwestern Integrative Medicine, and Karen Malkin Health Counseling.
