Illustrator Jacqueline Alcántara Shares Culture at The Book Stall Storytime
Come celebrate cultural traditions passed through the generations with a Special Storytime at The Book Stall. Chicago-based illustrator Jacqueline Alcántara joins us for a Storytime and drawing demonstration. She’ll read from her picture book, Freedom Soup, which tells the story of a Haitian family exploring their history and culture by cooking a traditional soup and dancing. This Special Storytime will take place in the store and is free and open to the public.
