Transcending Darkness: A Girl’s Journey Out of the Holocaust
The Chicago Police Department has trained its officers to recognize the dignity in all people through an unlikely presenter: Holocaust survivor Estelle Glaser Laughlin. Estelle has shared her experiences in the Warsaw Ghetto, concentration camps, and their aftermath with the CPD and other audiences in an effort to spread her hopeful message about the humanity in all of us. She will next appear at Kenilworth Union Church on Mon., Feb. 10 at 7p.m., where she will share more of her story, as well as her book Transcending Darkness: A Girl’s Journey out of the Holocaust.
