Differently Wired: Raising Unconventional Children in a Conventional World

Behind every kid who is differently wired is likely to stand one or more frustrated, isolated, perhaps even burnt out-feeling adult. There are millions of us around the world. We’re everywhere, but often feel completely isolated raising our neurologically atypical kids. In this practical and actionable talk, Deborah Reber, MA shares ten powerful “tilts,” a.k.a. practical ideas to help parents shift their thinking and actions in a way that will help them feel more confidence and peaceful about their everyday reality, create a stronger family dynamic, and give their extraordinary children what they need to thrive.

Ms. Reber is a parenting activist, New York Times bestselling author, podcast host, and speaker who moved her career in a more personal direction in 2016 when she founded TiLT Parenting, a top podcast, community, and educational resource for parents like her who are raising differently wired children. A regular contributor to Psychology Today and ADDitude Magazine, Ms. Reber’s newest book is Differently Wired: Raising an Exceptional Child in a Conventional World. In November 2018, she spoke at TEDxAmsterdam, delivering a talk entitled “Why the Future Will Be Differently Wired.” After living abroad in the Netherlands for the past five years, Ms. Reber, her husband, and 15-year-old son recently moved back to NYC.
