The Impact of School Anxiety, Refusal, and Absenteeism on Youth
National Public Radio recently reported that almost one-third of K-12 students in the United States, totaling more than 14 million youth, are not attending school regularly.
Join us on April 4th for a community conversation and hear from expert panelists about reducing school absenteeism due to mental health challenges. Only when treatment providers, families, schools, and community stakeholders work together can we effectively treat school anxiety and refusal in children and teens.
Key Findings
-Understand in greater detail the issues contributing to nonattendance for children and teens
-Learn practical and actionable strategies that address chronic absenteeism and can make a tangible difference in improving school attendance.
-Hear from our panelists about the ways that they navigate children and teens experiencing school anxiety and refusal and how they support them.
