College Admissions Decisions: Behind the Curtain
Register at: https://forms.gle/UmqQDhREbyB3rgRaA
Look inside the admissions committee: a Case Studies exercise. This is your chance to see what an application looks like and how applications are reviewed! Together we will serve as the admissions committee for a university, review applications, and decide who is admitted, waitlisted, or denied admission. See you in the committee room!
How do institutional priorities, application review (grades and scores, and/or a holistic approach) and an authentic student voice impact the admissions decision? Veronica Hauad will bring her experience and perspectives on college admissions, and share advice on how students can put together the best application possible.
Participants will be put into groups of “admissions committees” to review applications and make decisions to accept, deny, wait-list, or defer the applicants.
