Joel de la Fuente

Award-winning stage and screen actor

A veteran of stage and screen, Joel de la Fuente spent ten years touring Jeanne Sakata’s one-person play, Hold These Truths, around the country to critical acclaim. He was nominated for a 2013 Drama Desk Award for Best Solo Performance in NYC and won the Theatre Bay Award for Outstanding Principal Performance in 2019, among others. During this time, he also starred as Chief Inspector Kido in Amazon Prime’s most-watched series of its era, The Man in the High Castle, and as Dr. Johann Pryce in Netflix’s Emmy Award–winning Hemlock Grove.

Since then, de la Fuente has starred opposite Patrick Dempsey in the international series Devils and with Norman Reedus in season two of AMC’s hit series The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Last year, he participated in one of the first collaborations between Hollywood and South Korea in the Disney+ and Hulu Korean spy drama Tempest. Recently, he returned to the stage to star in the world premiere of Keiko Green’s You Are Cordially Invited to the End of the World! at South Coast Repertory. He also appeared in two episodes of ABC’s highest-rated show, High Potential, and is set to recur with former co-star Patrick Dempsey in Fox’s Memory of a Killer.
