Loren Deutsch, LCSW

Loren Deutsch is a professional educational therapist and a licensed clinical social worker. She has worked in education and social work for nearly 25 years, as a university lecturer, curriculum designer, national presenter and consultant. Ms. Deutsch has maintained a psychotherapy and clinical educational therapy practice, while developing her brands of academic support (scholastic management) and mentoring (medical coaching). In 2010, Loren founded Loren Academic Services, Inc. a curriculum design company that specializes in one-on-one academic support.
Ms. Deutsch is particularly interested in the field of interpersonal neurobiology. Her work focuses on the connection between emotions and learning and she has written papers and presented extensively on these topics. A recent paper, “Reviving the Test-Stressed Brain,” explores a research-based technique that addresses performance anxiety on high stakes exams.
