In this talk Professor Keltner will survey the recent science of human happiness and chart what has been learned about the evolution and neurophysiology of human connection. He will detail specific studies of three sources of meaning and happiness: positive emotions such as awe and compassion; social ethics such as forgiveness and cooperation; and contemplative approaches to stress. Alongside the science he will also discuss evidence based practices to cultivating the meaningful life.
