Head of Baker Demonstration School Carly Andrews
Baker Demonstration School 1st-5th Grade Open House
Baker first through fifth-grade students engage in highly experiential learning that knows no academic boundary. More than a math lesson here, a science lesson there, experiences are multi-disciplinary as we encourage students to draw from all disciplines to answer their complex questions.
Students at this developmental stage are ready to take on bigger questions. They begin to see more of the world, its diverse perspectives, cause and effect over time, historical and contemporary systems of oppression. This leads to more questions. Among the most profound is, “What can we do?”
Learn how Baker engages students at this important stage in their development during our 1st-5th Grade Open House. Head of School Carly Andrews will share more information about Baker’s approach to Primary and Intermediate education with tours of the school to follow.
Baker follows COVID-19 guidance from the CDC, IDPH and CCDPH, in consultation with our Health Advisory team. More information about our procedure will be provided upon registration.
