Here at The Book Stall, we love our romance section – and romance readers! Help us celebrate Bookstore Romance Day! Other activities will include a raffle, with fun romance-themed giveaways, a sweet treat reception at 2:00 PM, and a champagne toast for adult readers at 3:15 PM. The panel discussion is free. Register at www.thebookstall.com.
About our Guests: Ronni Davis lives in Chicago, where she copyedits everything from TV commercials to billboards by day, and writes contemporary teen novels about brown girls falling in love by night. She is the author of This Night Is Ours and When the Stars Lead to You. You can visit her at ronnidavis.com, and follow her on Twitter and Instagram at @lilrongal.
Sara Fujimura is the American half of her bicultural Japanese-American family and spends about a month each year in Japan. She started as a journalist, so it is no surprise that Sara’s young adult books contain a lot of facts to go along with the fiction. Whether you want to know about Japan (Tanabata Wish), the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918 (Breathe), what it’s like to be an Olympic-caliber skater (Every Reason We Shouldn’t), or how unscripted television works (Faking Reality), Sara takes readers on swoony journeys to unusual places. She is a creative writing teacher and literacy advocate who is excited to support the next generation of authors. Sara is an active member of SCBWI and the Chicago-North Romance Writers.
Zee Lacson is a first-generation immigrant; born and raised in Manila, she now enjoys the small town life in Illinois with her husband and twin sons. She has had many professions: engineer, educator, photographer, artist, and storyteller. She writes coming-of-age young adult magical realism and clean romance. Reverie was her first published novel. Revenant, its sequel, was released the following year. The Woolgathering Trilogy was completed in 2023 with the final book, Réveil. Twice Removed, her most recent novel, was published on Philippine Independence Day in 2024.
