Wired to Create: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Creative Mind
Labeled learning disabled as a child, Scott Barry Kaufman, Ph.D. was determined to leave special education and move into the more challenging classes. His persistence was rewarded — earning him degrees from Carnegie Mellon, Cambridge and Yale — and leading him toward a passion to test the very definition of intelligence. In his talk, Dr. Kaufman will share research supporting an enlarged understanding of intelligence, talent, and creativity. Dr. Kaufman is the Scientific Director of the Imagination Institute at the Positive Psychology Center at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the author of the 2013 book Ungifted: Intelligence Redefined and the new book, Wired to Create: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Creative Mind.
