Families United in Support of Excellence and Equity for all, especially students who identify as African American or Black (FUSE) and the Glenbard Parent Series will host Blackademically Speaking, featuring Chandra Gill at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 23. Each person can play a role to ensure that all students flourish and succeed. Gill is the founder and CEO of Blackademically Speaking, an educational consulting company dedicated to enhancing students’ learning potential, cultural clarity and overall character. She inspires children and adults to think critically while motivating them to grow personally. She is passionate about the critical issues facing youth today and on a personal and professional mission to help eradicate violence, helplessness and hopelessness as coined in her recent History, Healing and Hope Tour. Gill is the author of Champions Break Chains and Black Genes – Black Genius: A Motivational Handbook to Empower Black Youth.
The mission of FUSE is to provide Glenbard families with the tools, resources and education to equip students for success.
